In the words of Lesley Gore, “It’s my birthday and I’ll blog if I want to, blog if I want to, blog if I want to.”

Since I’ve done some birthday posts for others here when it was their birthdays and now it’s my birthday, I thought I’d do a “Bloggerina Birthday Blogpost.”

Some fun March 8 tidbits:

**Everyone who observes Daylight Saving time, turn your clocks ahead an hour.

**On March 8, 1817, The New York Stock Exchange was founded.

**March 8 is also “International Women’s Day” – read about it here if you haven’t heard of it:  http://www.internationalwomensday.com/about.asp

***Famous birthday-sharers:   Micky Dolenz from the Monkees, Gary Numan (sang the 80’s hit Cars), “Little” Peggie March (sang the 60’s song I Will Follow Him), Actors/Actresses James Van Der Beek, Lynn Redgrave, Aiden Quinn, Camryn Manheim, Freddie Prinze Jr., and News Anchor Lester Holt.

In celebration of my birthday, I thought a balloon theme was appropriate, so here are some pictures of Taylor that have balloons in them:

Don’t miss the “Taylor Hicks joins the Navy” post below, but since I found some pictures from the Belly Up Tavern, I thought I’d post those (I’m sure these are the “allowed” type of photos).

I thought I should post the link to their site rather than just reposting all their pictures, so click here for their site and below are some samples:

…sailors and their families at the Navy Exchange in CA to sign autographs.

I figured since there are so many pictures from Taylor at different radio stations the last couple weeks, I’d throw some together into a post:

***Update*** I found this “outside the studio” picture, so I’m adding it to this post (consider it an early bonus), and the rest of the original post follows this picture:

First, I want to say thanks to those of you who were nice enough to leave encouraging comments on the break post.

Although I do have to cut back to a few posts per week (as I mentioned before), I thought I’d come back today with an interview link and some random recent pictures from some radio stations.

I found this Taylor interview from the Johnjay and Rich show in AZ . It’s mostly American Idol questions as usual, but the interview is 22 minutes including the single at the end.

Random tidbits:

Taylor Tivo’s American Idol – he knows that contestants can play their instruments and wishes he could’ve done that.

The new CD is exactly where he wants to be as an artist/songwriter.

Was not hit on by Justine Bateman (but someone else out there).

Taylor Hicks says….(random quotes from the interview):

“I am single and I’m on the road, so whatever happens happens.”

“It’s a really cool way to, like I said, stay out there and be with the people, because that what counts, man.”

And now some random pictures:
